The Ministry of Sports Development was created by the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu on the 16th of August, 2023, to among other things, harness the local potentials in Sports Development by participating actively in local and international sports promotion and marketing of its brands. Cross River State has come a long way in Sports, with laudable history and achievements at the State, National and International levels. Its Administrative Headquarters is at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Naval Base 540281, Calabar, Cross River State. With mini stadia Located at Ogoja, Ikom, and ugep
