Pelican Stars update on the on-going NWFL Championship, Women Football League, Calabar,2024.

NWFL Championship, Women Football League

A total of 19 teams were registered for the 2024 Nigeria Women Football League ( NWFL ) Championship. During the draws the 19 teams were divided into four(4)groups A1, A2, B1, B2. The teams topping from each group will move to the next stage and the winners securing promotion to the NWFL premiership. 
Pelican Stars Fc fell under Group A1 and the teams in this group are;
1. Pelican Stars
2. ⁠Hero’s Queens
3. ⁠First Mahi
4. ⁠Castmog Ladies 
5. ⁠Imo Strikers
Pelican Stars first match was on the first day of September,2024 against Imo Strikers which ended 2:1 in favor of Pelican Stars.
The second match was Pelican Stars against Castmog Ladies which ended 3:2 still in favor of Pelican Stars.
Pelican Stars third match will be against First Mahi Babes which will be on the 4th of September. As of these report, Pelican Stars Fc is one 6 points winning their two matches in a row. Pelican Stars have two more matches to play.
